Custom home at Camino Antonio in the Catalina Foothills, burnt adobe and steel with a pool and mountain outlook

Custom New Construction in Tucson, Arizona

A custom home is not a floor plan dropped onto a lot. It is a response to the site — the outlook, the light, the way the ground falls and where the mountains sit. That is where this work starts.

Who this is for

Homeowners building something specific on a specific piece of land, often arriving through an architect. You care about how the house is put together as much as how it photographs.

  • Custom builds start at $1M, with most projects between $1M and $2.5M
  • A site in Tucson, the Catalina Foothills, Oro Valley or Marana
  • Fully custom and site-specific, not a spec-style or production build
  • You want early engagement, before decisions get expensive

What's included

Detail works both ways on new construction: alongside your architect as the build partner, or from the beginning where design and construction run together from the first conversation.

  1. 01

Build partner to your architect, with the design intent held intact

  2. 02

In-house design and drafting where you are starting without plans

  3. 03

Early-stage input on constructability and cost while the design is still moving

  4. 04

Natural, textural materials — burnt adobe, cold-rolled steel, Douglas Fir — where the design calls for them

  5. 05

A project superintendent accountable for the site

How a custom build runs

The lesson that shaped this company came from letting a design get ahead of a budget on Brendan's first design-build project. The client took the drawings elsewhere. Since then, every project tests design decisions against the budget as they are made. Ambition first, then honesty about what it costs, in that order and early enough to matter.

The first conversation is about priorities, not drawings. What matters most, what isn't working, and what would make the biggest difference.
